denmark108 asked: We bought Emeril non-stick pots and pans about 8 years ago and they’re shot. I admit, we weren’t completely careful with them 100% of the time….but I still think they should have held up better. Anyway, will I regret getting stainless cookware? Any tips for buying? Thx

Rich F asked: I received a very nice set of stainless steel cookware as a wedding gift. While very pretty, Im finding them almost useless for cooking. Everything sticks, they’re difficult to clean, and Im using my old non-stick pans instead. Should I simply leave the stainless out for decortive purposes, or are stainless steel pans better for some applications?

lynnrd asked: I have both mixing bowls and cookware made of stainless steel. Both of these show dark pitted areas. I don’t cook with the mixing bowls and have never hit or damaged either one. Is it the type of food used in them, like acidic items? I am sure it is the quality of the product, but how do you tell when buying?

hihocherrio asked: I am planning to purchase Calphalon Contemporary cookware, however I’m having a difficult time deciding between the stainless steel or the nonstick. The exterior on the stainless steel is absolutely beautiful, however I’m concerned with my food sticking to the pans. Instead of buying a set of one or the other, I’m thinking I should buy each piece individually. So I’d like to know, what foods are best cooked in stainless steel and why?
